process for legislative advocacy

Commonwealth Counsel and the client meet to interview each other and determine if there is good chemistry and whether both parties can collaborate on a joint objective and goal. This meeting will also include a broader based assessment of the client’s needs to better inform our team and development of a legislative strategy that will achieve the desired results in the current political and funding climate.

Utilizing the information provided during the initial meeting, our team will tailor a detailed legislative strategy based on your specific objectives and goals to help our client see around corners.

Commonwealth Counsel works with our clients to advance their legislative agenda by developing and reinforcing key relationships, organizing advocacy visits to Beacon Hill/ Capitol Hill, lobbying for critical legislation, directly involving our clients in the legislative process, and securing client-specific legislation.
